One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "H. MYERS," Henry Remmey, Sr. at the Baltimore Stoneware Manufactory, Baltimore, MD, circa 1825, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and arched tab handles, decorated with a boldly-brushed garland across the shoulder and reverse. Impressed with H. Myers maker's mark under handle. Cobalt highlight to top of handles and terminals. A 1 1/4" in-the-firing chip to bottom edge. Additional chipping around bottom edge. H 10".
