Small-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Butter Crock, Western PA origin, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, brush-decorated with a swag motif between two stripes. Provenance: From a fifty-year West Virginia collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some light bubbling to cobalt. H 5 3/8" ; Diam. 6 1/4".
