Large-Sized Tanware Pitcher, New Geneva or Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1885, ovoid pitcher with flaring collar, brush-decorated in Albany slip with a sweeping fuschia around the body. Spout decorated with diagonal dashes flanked by foliate devices. Stripes to rim, base of collar, and base of pitcher. Dash decoration to handle and highlights to the handle terminals. A tight 4 1/2" x 2 1/8" T-shaped hairline to shoulder underneath handle. A horizontal crack through handle. A 2 3/4" hairline from rim on side of pitcher. Two miniscule nicks to spout. A miniscule nick to rim. Residue from use to interior. H 9 1/4".
