Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "F.J. ELLIOTT & CO. / PENN YAN, N.Y.," third quarter 19th century, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design of a double-blossomed tulip plant. Cobalt-script "2" to shoulder. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Very nice condition with minor exfoliation to base and some light surface staining. H 9 3/8".
