Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Chicken Waterer, probably NJ origin, fourth quarter 19th century, dome-shaped form with attached watering trough and button-shaped finial, decorated with brushed cobalt highlights to the interior and outer edge of the waterer and top of the finial. Incised "1/2" at shoulder. Cracks to underside extending partway up body of waterer. Larger chips to bottom edge. Small chips and short cracks from edge of the opening of the waterer, including a semicircular crack. A 1 1/8" chip to finial. H 8 3/4".
