Five Ceramic Inkwells, American, 19th century, a rare miniature lead-glazed redware inkwell; a small-sized lead-and-manganese-glazed redware inkwell; a larger lead-and-manganese-glazed inkwell; a salt-glazed stoneware inkwell; and a later Albany-slip-glazed stoneware inkwell. Smallest with a large base chip, a minor base nick, and minor wear to interior of opening. Second smallest with a spout chip and minor in-the-firing chipping to bottom edge. Largest redware inkwell with restoration and one base chip. Salt-glazed inkwell with a small chip to central opening and a minor chip to one quill hole, as well as a minor base chip, and tiny in-the-firing base nick. Albany-slip-glazed inkwell in excellent condition with a small, glazed-over base chip. Dimensions (of smallest): H 1 1/8" ; Diam. 1 1/2".
