Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1875, one of cylindrical form and the other of semi-ovoid form, the larger with brushed swag-and-floral decoration, the smaller with horizontal floral decoration. Larger with a chip to shoulder molding and an area of scattered flakes to shoulder. Shorter in very nice condition with some small in-the-firing rim chips, an in-the-firing base chip, and a spot of paint residue near shoulder. H (of taller) 8 7/8".
