Two Two-Gallon Stoneware Jars with Stenciled Cobalt Decoration, A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV, circa 1880, both of cylindrical form with tooled shoulders and semi-rounded rims, one stenciled "Superior," the other stenciled "A.P. DONAGHHO, / PARKERSBURG, W.Va." Superior jar with large in-the-firing flakes to surface, an area of adhered clay to surface, and a shallow rim chip. Donaghho jar with a 5 1/4" vertical line to midsection on reverse, not visible on interior, two in-the-firing contact marks to base, some surface wear, two small chips to molding below rim, and a small in-the-firing ping to reverse. H (of taller) 11 7/8".
