Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Swag Decoration, Stamped "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG / Va," circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated with three groups of brushed swags over a slip-coated ground. Staining and residue to surface. Otherwise excellent condition. H 7 5/8".
