Three Pieces of Salt-Glazed Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, 19th century, a two-gallon cylindrical crock with brushed floral motif, stamped "E.A. MONTELL / OLEAN N Y;" a three-gallon cylindrical jar with slip-trailed vine decoration, stamped "NICHOLS & BOYNTON / BURLINGTON VT;" and a four-gallon ovoid jug, stamped "LAOMMI KENDALL / CHELSEA," MA origin. Chelsea crock with a small chip to one handle and staining to surface. Boynton jar with chips to interior of rim, chips and wear to inner rim for lid, some light exfoliation, a large flake and chip to one ear, spots of staining, and an in-the-firing iron ping to reverse. Kendall jug in excellent condition with staining to surface, a small in-the-firing iron ping at base on reverse, and old yellow paint to underside, unrelated to any sort of restoration.
