Small-Sized Stoneware Jug, Stamped "BOSTON," Frederick Carpenter, Charlestown, MA, early 19th century, highly-ovoid jug with tooling to shoulder and spout, the spout and handle with dipped iron-oxide decoration. Tight surface cracks. Various in-the-firing flaws including crazing, pings, chips, and adhered clay to surface. Minor base chips. H 9 1/2".
