One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "B.C. MILBURN / ALEXA," Alexandria, VA origin, circa 1850, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, arched tab handles, and semi-squared rim, brush-decorated with three vertical flower motifs around the shoulder on the front and one larger flower motif on the reverse. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Professional restoration to surface of bottom third of jar and surface of underside. A restored 1 1/2" section to one handle. H 10 1/4".
