Two Glazed Redware Spittoons, PA origin, second half 19th century, one with flared base, crimped rim, and sponged manganese under a clear lead glaze; the other with haphazard manganese brushwork and splashes under a clear lead glaze. Crimped-rim example with chips, glaze wear, and a reglued base. Other spittoon with chips to opening at shoulder, minor chipping to bottom edge, and three thin cracks emanating from the opening in top. Dimensions (of larger): Diam. 8 1/2" ; H 4 3/4".
