Two Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, both of ovoid form, a one-gallon example with brushed daisy motif and a two-gallon example with large tulip motif. Smaller with a large and medium-sized spout chip, a long, narrow in-the-firing flake to base, a small in-the-firing base chip, and staining. Larger with a 2 3/4" hairline from spout, a large spout chip, small spout chips, staining, and in-the-firing discolored spots. H (of smaller) 11 1/2".
