Stoneware Bowl with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Central PA origin, circa 1880, ovoid bowl with flattened rim, brush-decorated with a diagonal leaf motif. Some dryness to cobalt and an in-the-firing unglazed area below. An in-the-firing iron ping to left of decoration. A small in-the-firing ping to base. Hairlines in underside. A long T-shaped line at base. Staining to surface. H 5 1/8" ; Diam. 10 3/8".
