Rare Glazed Redware Lidded Tureen, American, mid to late 19th century, ovoid form with attached pedestal base and tooled accents throughout, the front and reverse decorated with a molded and applied leaf-and-berry motif, the handles molded in a floral pattern. Includes original domed lid with pointed finial and tooled accents. Decorated throughout with splashed copper and manganese and coated in a clear lead glaze. Tureen in very nice condition, the raised molding at the shoulder with some wear and minor chips. Some additional minor surface wear. Lid with chips to flange on underside, a small edge chip, a 1" worn spot to edge, and wear to tip of finial. H (including lid) 12 1/2".
