Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Pitcher, Signed and Dated "Clint Alderman 2013," GA origin, 2013, ovoid pitcher with flared collar, decorated with a hand-modeled and applied clay face with sideways stare related to works by the Martin Brothers of London. Blue-glazed pupils and open mouth with broken china teeth. Mottled green alkaline glaze to surface. Reverse incised with Clint Alderman signature and date. Lot includes photograph of Alderman holding this pitcher. Provenance: Carl and Marian Mullis Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 7/8".
