Multi-Glazed Redware Pitcher, attributed to S. Bell & Sons, Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, ovoid pitcher with footed base and wide, flaring collar, the surface dipped in cream-colored slip, decorated with splashes of copper and manganese, and covered in a clear lead glaze. Base chips. Wear to rim, handle, and molding at base of collar. Small spots of glaze loss and some minor wear to body. A 2 3/4" hairline from rim on right side of pitcher. H 6 3/8".
