One-Gallon Stoneware Bowl with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J.M. HICKERSON," Strasburg, VA origin, circa 1880, flaring bowl with squared rim and arched tab handles, brush-decorated with elongated flower emanating from an undulating leafy stem. A 3" hairline from rim and a 2 1/2" hairline from rim. Three rim chips. One handle with a shallow 1/2" chip and a minor chip. A small T-shaped hairline on underside, extending 3" up side of bowl. A small in-the-firing base chip. H 6 3/4" ; Diam. 9".
