Extremely Rare Group of Signed Anthony W. Bacher Ephemera, Winchester, VA, Dated 1879-1880, all addressed to a storekeeper in White Hall, Frederick County, Virginia. A hand-written "Bill of Ware," signed Anthony W. Bacher and dated July 1, 1880, with list of quantity and types of ware and cost; one postal card signed Anthony Bacher, dated May 27, 1880, reading, "Mr. Mc Kee, Dear Sir / I rec no answer from you anymore owing Postal. I did not explain myself in full about the price of my ware. in trade I sell a Cent per gall. but 8 Cents per gall. in cash. I hope you will be my Customers and deal regular with me I am shure(sic) I will allways(sic) furnish you the best of ware. / Respectfully Yours / Anthony W. Bacher Potter;" a second postal card signed Anthony W. Bacher, dated Jun 16, 1881, reading,"Mr. Mc Kee Dear Sir! / Rec. your 2nd. pstal it is right, send an order. rec. your favor in answet I say; after next week I can furnish your ware, prices 9 cents per gall. three quart + half gallon." 5 cents Creampots 25 to 30 I allways take in trade what I need, but cannot take all in trade, & what you pay cash I give you 10 cent discount on a Dollar you better buy now, ware we shure(sic) have a [?} year & Pots will be scarce / send me a Bill by mail. / Respectfully yours / Anthony W. Bacher;" and a "Bill of Crocks from Anthony W. Bacher," dated August 12 1879," and signed J.H. Bacher." The fine penmanship of Bacher, as seen on the bottom of so many of his pottery pieces, is on full display in the three ephemera items written by him. This group offers rare insight into Bacher's relationship with his customers, the availability of his ware, and how he marketed his products. All in good condition. Dimensions (of signed Anthony W.
