Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Chicken Waterer, probably NJ origin, fourth quarter 19th century, dome-shaped form with attached watering trough and button-shaped finial, decorated with brushed cobalt highlights to the interior and outer edge of the waterer and top of the finial. Impressed "1/2" at shoulder. Two small chips to opening. A 1 3/8" in-the-firing iron ping at base, which is glazed over. A large and medium-sized chip to finial. Three smaller chips to opening of trough. H 8 1/2".
