One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Thomas Haig, Jr., Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled accents to collar and body, brush-decorated with three tall tulip plants emanating from a stripe at the base. Four large tulip motifs across the shoulder. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A 3" Y-shaped crack descending from left side of spout. No pieces appear to be reglued. Some scattered exfoliation to one side and reverse. In-the-firing spatter of brown glaze to reverse. Minor water glass staining. H 12 1/2".
