One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crock with Lid, Baltimore, MD origin, late 19th century, wide, cylindrical form with squared rim and arched tab handles, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with a single clover motif. Clover decoration to original lid. Crock with a thin 2 1/2" crack from rim, a salt drip to one side, and minor rim chips. Lid with chip to flange on underside and some wear to knob. Dimensions (of crock): H 4 7/8" ; Diam. 9 3/8" ; Diam. (of lid): 9 3/4".
