One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid pitcher with flared collar and semi-rounded rim, brush-decorated with three-stemmed daisy plant extending up the front. Swag decoration to collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Heavy chipping to spout. A 3/4" glazed-over chip to interior of rim. Areas of wear to cobalt. Minor surface staining. H 12 3/8".
