Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1835, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with a handle-to-handle design of a stem bearing large leaves and three-petaled blossoms. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Base chips. Two minor rim chips. A 4 1/4" Y-shaped surface line near midsection on front, not visible on interior. H 14".
