Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "Knox, Haught & Co. / Shinnston . W . Va," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring Knox, Haught & Co. maker's stenciling and stylized stenciled flourishes. A few minor base chips to reverse. Two in-the-firing unglazed areas at base. Minor chips to shoulder moldings. Minor surface wear. H 9 3/4".
