Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, brush-decorated with four stripes. Chips to interior of rim. Minor chips and wear to inner rim for lid. A few minor nicks to shoulder molding. Spider crack in underside, extending onto base area in several places. H 6 1/2".
