Fine One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX," Harrisburg, PA origin, circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, brush-decorated with a large flower blossom within a wreath-like design. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. An approximately 7" vertical Y-shaped line to reverse. A tight 5" spider line to right side of jug. Minor exfoliation to shoulder on front. Staining to surface. H 11 1/2".
