One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Stenciled Cobalt Decoration, Stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG," PA origin, circa 1880, ovoid-bodied pitcher with tall collar and semi-squared rim, decorated with an abstract stenciled design with a scalloped border. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Excellent condition with a small rim chip, a minor glazed-over rim nick, and very minor staining. H 10 3/4".
