Four-Gallon Stoneware Water Cooler with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stenciled "ICE WATER," OH origin, circa 1875, cylindrical form with circular bunghole, tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated at the midsection with double-blossomed tulip plant along with the number "4" above. Stenciled "ICE WATER" in large lettering at the shoulder. Bunghole decorated with cobalt spots. A 6 3/4" crack from rim on right side of cooler, extending through handle. Some staining and traces of old blue paint to surface. H 13 3/8".
