One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J.M. PRUDEN / ELIZ-TOWN-NJ," third quarter 19th century, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a stylized flower or star within wreath-like swags. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. A minor in-the-firing chip to base. Some in-the-firing discoloration to base and spout. A drip of Albany slip glaze to side of jug. H 11 1/2".
