Exceptional Large-Sized Stoneware Vase with Lid, attributed to Arie Meaders, Cleveland, GA, circa 1965, cylindrical form with tapering upper body, the surface brush-decorated in green and blue with a large iris plant and flying bee against a grayish ground. Original lid with applied pointed finial surrounded by clay orbs and brushed with blue highlights. An unusually large work by this artist featuring visually-appealing, naturalistic subject matter. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some short, minor firing lines to edge of lid. H (including lid) 14 1/2".
