Quart-Sized Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, brush-decorated with three tulip motifs around the shoulder. A hairline to underside extending 2 3/4" up body of jar. Additional crazing to underside. A stone inclusion to midsection. H 6 3/4".
