Tanware Pitcher, New Geneva, PA origin, circa 1885, ovoid pitcher with tall, flaring collar, brush-decorated in Albany slip with an undulating fuchsia vine design around the body. Collar decorated with drapes and stylized brushwork above a series of spots. Base with freehand stripe. Stripe decoration to handle and Albany slip highlights to handle terminals. Excellent condition with a small area of surface wear to rim and traces of old paint to surface. H 7".
