Scarce Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "JOHN P. EBERHART & CO. / NEW GENEVA. PA.," circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with semi-squared "wax sealer" rim, featuring John P. Eberhart maker's stenciling surrounding a scrolled design. Some in-the-firing chipping to base. A small chip to interior of rim. H 8 3/8".
