Very Rare Miniature Slip-Decorated Redware Jar, New Market, VA origin, possibly Jacob Adam, early to mid 19th century, ovoid jar with tall, footed base and semi-squared rim, decorated with a slip-trailed spiraling line of cream-colored slip under a clear lead glaze. Exceptional size and highly unusual decorative treatment for this form. Broken into pieces and reglued. H 3 1/2".
