Rare Rockingham-Glazed Pig Bottle, attributed to Henry Thomas, Louisville, KY, circa 1875, molded in the form of a reclining pig with spout in rear, the surface covered in a mottled reddish-brown glaze. Dark-brown slip to eyes. Painted after the firing in gold with the inscription, "I'm the Merry Band Hog." Additional gold paint to spout. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. L 7 3/4".
