Rare Miniature Stoneware Grand Army of the Republic Presentation Jar, probably Norwalk, CT origin, Dated 1883, squat-shaped jar with Albany-slip-glazed surface, incised with the inscription, "Camp Fire Buckingham Post No 12 / Nov 21st 1883." Underside incised "Ed Northrop" above other indecipherable writing. The "Camp Fire Buckingham Post" of the G.A.R. was located in Norwalk, CT, indicating this jar was likely made in that city. Excellent condition with traces of old blue paint to surface. H 2 5/8".
