Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, attributed to G. & A. Black, Somerfield, PA, circa 1865, a small-sized jar with freehand "hoof" motif, paired wirth a three-gallon jar with tulips on each side. Both unmarked. Smaller with two rim chips, a Y-shaped crack from rim, and a Y-shaped hairline to underside. Larger with a crack in underside, extending several inches up reverse, a shallow chip to underside at edge, small chips to base area, a handle chip, and a rim chip. H (of smaller) 7 3/4".
