Four-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "E.W. FARRINGTON & CO. / ELMIRA . N .Y .," circa 1887-1893, semi-ovoid churn with flared collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed stem bearing three tulips with protruding stamens. Brushed "4" above. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Includes reproduction brown-glazed lid. A 6 1/4" crack from rim with small Y at the end of it. A 2 3/4" crack on underside, form a short Y at base. Three chips to exterior of rim. A small chip to interior of rim. Wear to inner rim for lid. Lid in mint condition. H (excluding lid) 16 1/4".
