Rare and Fine Diminutive Redware Dish with Two-Color Slip Decoration, NC origin, late 18th or early 19th century, shallow dish with footed base and semi-rounded rim, the lead-glazed interior decorated with a wavy trail of copper slip between straight trails of cream-colored slip. Exceptional size. Provenance: Purchased by the consignor in 1986 from the Stradlings, New York, NY. Very nice condition with a small rim chip and some wear to lower cream-colored slip band. Diam. 5 1/2" ; H 1".
