One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Ochre Floral Decoration, Stamped "L. NORTON & SON," Bennington, VT origin, circa 1823-1833, ovoid jug with tapered spout, decorated with a brushed flower in reddish-brown ochre slip. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some in-the-firing contact marks to surface. H 11 1/2".
