Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry H. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1835, rotund jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse two conjoined daisies. Brushed floral motifs below each handle and highlights to handle terminals. A 1 1/2" rim chip. A 6 1/2" surface line extending from midsection on one decorated side below handle, not visible on interior. A few small base chips. Some fry to cobalt. A small in-the-firing ping to shoulder. H 13 1/4".
