Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry H. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1835, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a leafy garland bearing three fan-shaped flowers. A wavy stripe of cobalt underneath each handle and cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A 2 1/8" rim chip. Base chips. Drips of staining to surface. H 12 3/4".
