Fine Green-Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, late 18th or early 19th century, highly-ovoid jug with footed base and narrow spout, its lead-glazed surface featuring a colorful green ground with dramatic red and dark-brown glaze crawling. Very nice conditon. Wear to spout. A small chip to side of handle. Light wear to handle. A glazed-over line in base of handle. H 8 7/8".
