Unusual One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Northwestern PA or Midwestern U.S. origin, third quarter 19th century, vasiform jar with footed base and flared collar, decorated with a brushed tulip over a slip-coated surface. Excellent condition with staining, two in-the-firing chips to underside at edge, and a very minor post-firing nick to underside at edge. H 10 1/4".
