Fine Slip-Decorated Redware Plate with Loop-and-Foliate Motif, Norwalk, CT origin, second quarter 19th century, with coggled edge, the lead-glazed interior heavily-decorated in yellow slip with a looping line surrounding a foliate design. Small rim chips. A thin 3" crack from edge. Very minor surface wear to interior. Diam. 12 3/8".
