Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crocks, Stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT:," circa 1870, both of straight-sided form with handles, one with slip-tailed bird-on-leaf motif, the other with foliate spray accented with dotted trails. Bird crock with fry to cobalt, light exfoliation to surface, handle chips, and a chip to interior of rim, and two base chips. Other crock with rim chips and staining to surface. H (of bird crock) 11 1/4".
