Rare Lidded Redware Teapot with Gooseneck Spout, attributed to Hillside Pottery, Fort Edward, NY, circa 1879-1883, wheel-thrown teapot with incised decoration to shoulder and body, the spout in the form of a goose's neck with incised feathers and facial features. Includes original domed lid with incised details throughout. Lead-and-manganese glaze to interior of teapot and underside of lid. Pot with wear to opening of spout, two small base chips, and minor wear to rim. Lid with shallow 3/4" chip to edge. H (including lid) 6 3/4" ; L 10 3/4".
