Outstanding Miniature Octagonal Redware Dish with Slip Decoration, Philadelphia, PA origin, early to mid 19th century, molded octagonal dish with coggled edge and angled sides tapering to a narrow base, the interior decorated with three yellow slip lines under a clear lead glaze. The first example of this form that we have seen. A shallow 3/8" rim chip and minor rim wear. Interior surface in flawless condition. Diam. 2 7/8".
